As LeBron James’ career continues into its 16th year with no signs of decline, the GOAT debate between him and Michael Jordan has picked up rapidly. No consensus has formed yet, but LeBron may truly overtake Jordan in the eyes of the general public soon.

And maybe that GOAT debate seemed like the one that MJ was talking about, if you watched his latest promo on television without context.

This is clearly the cheekiest way to promote next week’s face-off between Tom Brady’s New England Patriots and Aaron Rodgers’ Green Bay Packers. Also... it’s true! Next week’s matchup will see two quarterbacks in the GOAT conversation go head-to-head, and how rare is that?

Apparently, all of the greats from the 1980’s NBA are getting called in by television networks to promote other sports right now. For Sunday’s Game 5, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird squared off in the perfect World Series promo by highlighting the Los Angeles/Boston rivalry at hand.
