Lionel Messi news shocked the sports world this week when it was announced that the Argentine superstar would not be returning to Barcelona. Messi – considered by many to be the greatest soccer player of all-time – had spent the last 21 years with the club.
Messi’s departure was an emotional one to say the least, and it was capped off with a tearful presser in which he explained that he tried his best to work something out, even offering to cut his salary in half by 50%.
Messi’s car is often approached by fans as he leaves Camp Nou – Barcelona’s stadium. Sunday was no different, but it was an extra emotional departure as it may very well be his last before joining PSG.
At one point post-departure, Messi even stopped to sign photos and jerseys for Barca fans from his driver’s seat.
While Messi lives in a spotlight that is unimaginably bright, he does so in a way that is always making fan dreams come true, even once he’s left Barcelona.
