McGregor crashed UFC 223 media day and got into an altercation with fighters on the card

Conor McGregor hasn't fought in the UFC since 2016, but on Thursday he made his presence felt at media day for UFC 223 by crashing the event and reportedly getting into an altercation with some fighters on the card.

Conor McGregor and members of his team showed up at the Barclays Center at the very end of media day moments ago. There was an altercation with some of the departing fighters who are competing on the card.

I’m told as the van was driving away to take the fighters back to the hotel that’s when it happened. Those fighters haven’t left the arena now.

According to multiple sources Michael Chiesa suffered a laceration in the fracas. He is being attended to at the arena. Unclear at this time how serious his injury is.

I’ve seen video shot by fighters in the van. Very clear Conor is telling someone to get out of the van before being pulled away by security. Khabib and his team were in that particular van.

I’m told some of the fighters who were on the van are “shaken up.” They are still at the arena and Dana White, as well as local authorities, are there now.

Conor McGregor stormed through Barclays, ended up in the loading dock of the arena with his entourage in tow and “swarmed” a bus that was leaving with UFC fighters and camps. Conor and crew were “throwing chairs, bike racks.”

This "invasion" of the Barclays Center comes a day after Dana White said he would strip Conor of his lightweight title after the Khabib Nurmagomedov and Max Holloway fight on Saturday night.

McGregor responded to what Dana said on Twitter and it's NSFW.
