The Edmonton Oilers and the Arizona Coyotes are experiencing very, very different seasons so far. While the Oilers have lit the lamp all year long and currently sit in 2nd place with 45 total goals (trailing only Florida’s 49), the Coyotes have only managed to score 19 – by far the worst in the league (Boston and Dallas each have 24).

On top of that, the Coyotes have played two more games than the Oilers.

To put how drastic the difference is, let’s boil it down a little further. As has been the case for a few years now, the Oilers offence is running through two superstar forwards; Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. Even if you eliminated all the goals from the rest of the Oilers and only kept McDavid’s and Draisaitl’s, the total would only be one less than the ‘Yotes.

McDavid:  8 Goals.

Draisaitl: 10 Goals.

McDavid and Draisaitl combined: 18 Goals.

Arizona Coyotes entire roster: 19 Goals.

Not only that, but if you were to make the statistic about total points, McDavid and Draisaitl actually have more!

McDavid: 22 Points.

Draisaitl: 23 Points.

McDavid and Draisaitl combined: 45 Points.

Arizona Coyotes entire roster: 40 Points.

With the Oilers playing their 11th game of the year on Tuesday and the Coyotes having the day off, this could get even more obscure.
