Maxime Lagacé joined the Boston Bruins on a one-year, two-way $700,000 deal this past offseason and he’s most likely going to be the starting goalie for the AHL’s Providence Bruins this season since their NHL duo consists of Tuukka Rask and Jaroslav Halak.
However, anything is possible and there’s still a chance that Lagacé gets some action at the highest level this season and the 26-year-old is ready for the call when/if it comes. On Friday night, David Gunnarsson revealed Lagacé’s first Bruins-themed mask and it’s an incredible tribute to former Bruins netminder Andy Moog.
Moog spent six seasons in Boston from 1987-1993 and he went 136-75-36 with 13 shutouts, as well as a 3.08 goals against average and an .886 save percentage in 261 games with the Bruins.
This is definitely a mask that every Bruins fan can get behind.
