Max Holloway put on a show in his unanimous decision victory over Calvin Kattar at UFC on ABC 1 on Saturday night - but that’s nothing new if you’ve ever watched a Holloway fight before.
Holloway came out swinging right from the get go and he didn’t hold up until the final bell, and he even had a conversation with his opponent and everyone else in the middle of the fight.
You can hear the 29-year-old shout that he’s the best boxer in the UFC, and based on the stats sheet from the bout, he’s not lying.
Not only did Holloway break his records for the most significant strikes landed in a single fight and in a single round, but he also eclipsed 2,500 significant strikes landed for his career, nearly 1,000 more than the next person on the list.
After the fight, Holloway let it be known to Dana White and everyone else that he’s ready to step in next weekend for Conor McGregor or Dustin Poirier in case anything happens last second.
