Max Domi is out of Montreal and it’s safe to say he’s feeling pretty good about the move.
On Tuesday, the 25-year-old was shipped to Columbus, along with a third round pick, in exchange for bruising forward (and former London Knights teammate) Josh Anderson. Domi’s time in Montreal had its ups and downs, tallying 72 points in 82 games during his first season with the team and following it up with just 44 in 71 the next. It became apparent that Domi and Canadiens head coach Claude Julien had their disagreements and when it came to reflecting on their relationship, Domi didn’t feel up to talking about it.
Less can definitely mean more!
The 12th pick of the 2013 NHL Draft, Domi now joins his third team since entering the league in 2015. The Winnipeg native (yes, Max was born in Winnipeg)! Will look to occupy a space on Columbus’ second line behind star centre Pierre-Luc Dubois.
As for Domi’s new head coach? The two should have their share of entertaining moments together.
Buckle up Jackets fans, this should be interesting!
