The Toronto Raptors' season came to end last week and the disappointing finish to the year was followed up by the firing of head coach Dwane Casey. For the first time since 2011 the Raptors head into the offseason in search of a new head coach and a former member of the team thinks he’d be the perfect fit for the position.
On Monday, TMZ caught up with rapper Master P and he thinks he’s ready to take on the role of an NBA head coach, particularly the Raptors.
Master P had a contract with the Raptors during the preseason in 1999 and is close to DeMar DeRozan, who he coached when he was a young kid.
The former player was also in attendance the day DeRozan signed his letter of intent to play for USC, and included him in the ‘Cookie Money’ music video.
It’s highly unlikely the Raptors will reach out to Master P for his services, but you never know these days.
