It’s been a tough season for the Ottawa Senators as they’re currently riding a four-game losing skid and sit second-last in the NHL’s Eastern Conference.

Although they came up short at home against the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night, one particular fan went home with a smile on their face thanks to an extremely generous act by Mark Borowiecki.

During warm-ups, the 30-year-old spotted a fan in the first row holding a sign that read, ‘It’s my 60th week of chemo’. Instead of just tossing a puck their way, Borowiecki went back to the bench and signed a message for them on a puck before heading back over and tossing it over the boards.

Just a reminder that there are some things bigger than sports.
