We’ve always known Marcus Smart to talk trash, and it looks like even his teammates aren’t exempt.
After a discouraging Game 2 loss against the Miami Heat that saw the Boston Celtics squander a 17-point second half lead and fall to a 2-0 hole in the series, Smart was overheard yelling at his teammates after the game.
Items were apparently thrown around inside the locker room, and the Celtics have opted against holding a practice on Friday.
Smart is a competitor through and through, and there’s nothing wrong with trying to hash things out and even getting a bit heated doing so while trying to rouse the team out of its malaise through the first two games of the series.
Of course, for those that Smart has rubbed the wrong way in the past — such as Toronto Raptors fans — this is definitely a good time to get your jokes off.
