Love him or hate him, one thing you have got to hand to Brad Marchand is that he stays committed to his role as the NHL's premiere pest.

Thursday, Marchand was spotted getting up close and personal with Leo Komarov during Boston's win against the Leafs in Game 1 of their first round series. Of course, this wasn't the first time that Marchand had planted a kiss on Komarov's cheek mid-game, but after hearing the Leaf forward's pleasant response, people were curious as to why it happened again, as it didn't really work as a pest technique.

Well, according to Marchand, he knows that Komarov isn't bothered by it. He just want noticed that Komarov likes to get in-close after the whistle, so he thought he would reciprocate.

Ahhh yes, the double bluff. So Komarov is supposedly cool with him doing it, so Marchand acknowledges that it doesn't work as a distraction, but decides to do it anyways, because having to continuously be asked about something that's not distracting will eventually become distracting.

Marchand's out here playing 26D backgammon.
