This year’s NBA trade deadline has come and gone and there were plenty of moves made leading up to the deadline on Thursday afternoon. One of the biggest names involved in this year’s plethora of deals is Marc Gasol, who was acquired by the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Delon Wright, Jonas Valanciunas, CJ Miles and a 2024 2nd round draft pick.
The Raptors were involved in numerous trade rumours leading up to the big day, mostly ones involving Mike Conley and Marc Gasol of the Memphis Grizzlies, so when they finally landed the big man they were looking for it got Raptors fans a little more stoked about their odds this season.
Early Friday morning, or late Thursday night depending on where you live, the three-time NBA All-Star and 2013 NBA Defensive Player of the Year arrived in Toronto for the first time as a member of the Raptors and he let fans know he’s in town with a simple post.
It looks like Gasol will continue to wear No. 33 with the Raptors and will most likely make his debut on Monday night at home against the Brooklyn Nets, considering they had Gasol fly out to Toronto rather than have him meet up with his new teammates in New York.
