Every NHL general manager would love to have a guy like Marc-Edouard Vlasic on their roster.
The 30-year-old defenceman has a fairly reasonable cap hit at $4.25 million per year and gets the job done defensively on a nightly basis. In 11 NHL seasons, Vlasic has finished with a plus-rating every year except for one, and has accomplished this while playing at least 20 minutes every single night.
Knowing a thing or two about the last line of defence, Vlasic did some quick thinking on his feet the other day in order to protect himself from a hive of bees that took over the hot tub in his backyard.
It's pretty funny to see a guy who willingly steps in front of NHL slap shots like theyโre nothing put on a majority of his practice gear just to get rid of a few bees that are inside his hot tub.
