The Vegas Golden Knights introduced their all-gold tarps over the weekend and holy moly are they ever flashy.
We all knew what to expect when the team initially unveiled them over the summer but seeing them on the ice is just a completely different story. The jerseys literally sparkle and if that wasn’t enough, Marc-Andre Fleury felt the need to take things a step further and show off even more gold through his goalie hear. From his pads, to gloves, to blocker, to even his helmet, literally everything about the guy was golden on Saturday night. Forget The Flower… his new nickname should just be ‘Goldmember’.
Yeah, that’s about right!
Just imagine. You’re coming down on a breakaway and trying to find a hold to shoot through, only to see these colours. Wouldn’t want to be that player!
We can’t say this is the first time we’ve seen style like this from the 36-year-old either. Anyone else remember the all-yellow pads he wore at the World Juniors back in 03? He rocked them in Pittsburgh too and they might have even popped more than the new gold ones.
