Over the past week, numerous professional athletes and teams have stepped up in numerous ways to help those affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
On Thursday, Vegas Golden Knights owner Bill Foley announced that the team would be making a minimum donation of $500,000 that will go towards assisting the Golden Knights’ part-time game day employees and arena staff who were scheduled to work the remaining home games of the season.
That’s not the only donation that came from the organization, though, as goalie Marc-Andre Fleury pledged to commit $100,000 of his own to the team’s relief effort.
It’s nice to see players and teams stepping up for the employees who are going to be out of work for the next little while because of everything that’s going on.
