When a team wins a big game (mainly, if they win a championship), the coach is often susceptible to a classic tradition – the Gatorade shower. Which begs one to wonder…
Do coaches actually enjoy the shower? Or do they secretly feel bitter that the players were able to sneak one onto them?
Well, we may not know the answer to that, but we definitely know the answer to this. LSU coach Ed Orgeron would not have been happy with the Gatorade shower he got on Saturday night. His team didn’t even win the game.
Not only was the interception (one that LSU thought sealed them the game) get called back, but the game then went to 7 overtime periods, tying a NCAA record. That is a long, long time to get real sticky. Would not want to be the players responsible for that after LSU marched back to the locker room following a 74-72 marathon loss.
