Now, Plinko is a game of luck, but so are all sports. Admittedly, it’s a little more luck based than most, but who cares – it’s all about entertainment anyways.
It’s like wrestling. Many sports fans love wrestling despite obviously being fake, because it’s entertaining. Well, there’s nothing more entertaining than this dude who just crushed a game of Plinko on The Price is Right this morning. Not only did he set a record for the Drew Carey era and in games with a $10,000 middle slot, but he had the crowd going wild with his excitement.
Buckle up for an epic game of drop a puck on some pegs.
Ryan, well done, you earned every one of those $31,500 dollars.
So, what was the previous record? Well, according to The Price is Right’s wikia, there was a $23,000 winner in 2001. Other than that, there is a person who hit the middle slot four times, but the middle slot was only $5,000 so they received $21,000 instead of what could have been $41,000 in a $10,000 game. Finally, there is the person who has won the most total money, $40,000 when the middle slot was $20,000.
Looking back on YouTube there does appear to be a higher record than the $23,000 in 2001, as this woman won just $1,000 less than Ryan from another video with Drew Carey as the host - so this would have been the categorical record that Ryan took down.
People were loving it on social media, as Ryan pumped up more than just the crowd.
