If you’ve been in the loop on the current state of Major League Baseball lately, then you definitely know the league has been facing some PRETTY heavy criticism. Truly, the current slap down on pitchers and the whole foreign substance debacle has the league up in flames.
Well, it looks like the league will see no days off from being subjected to scrutiny as the 2021 All-Star Game uniforms were unveiled Thursday morning and fans definitely did not shy away from voicing their opinions.
Slightly better than the New Era caps that got absolutely ripped to shreds by fans just last month, the new All-Star jerseys feature a short three-letter name for each team’s home city along with the team logo placed over top. There’s quite a bit going on there, but it gets even more questionable.
With American League teams rocking the navy blue jerseys and National League teams rolling with the white, for the first time ever, players will wear these uniforms in-game.
Though the hats aren’t as bad with the Rockies’ signature purple mountains to mark the All-Star game location this year, fans still were not having it.
Especially Canadian baseball fans cheering for the Jays, because well...The Blue Jays All-Star game jersey features an American flag on the left sleeve with no Canadian flag in sight.
YIKES.
We’re not exactly sure on how to feel about them, but they’re definitely giving us cricket jersey vibes.
