The Colorado Avalanche have a unique tie to Canada...they were the Quebec Nordiques before they moved to Denver and since the move, fans have always wanted to see the Nordiques jersey return in some capacity.
This year, the Avs will be playing their 25th season in Colorado and it would be fair to expect the team to have some throwback themed elements which could include a return of the Quebec jersey. We obviously don't know if that's part of the team's plan, but we did see some evidence to suggest it might be.
The Avalanche already have a third jersey, but the colour of Nathan MacKinnon's new gloves he shared to his Instagram story don't really match any jersey they currently wear, which could mean we're in for some new threads.
We hope we're not just reading into this because MacKinnon, Makar and company flying up and down the ice in a Nordiques jersey would be insane.
