Luka Doncic has quickly emerged into the Dallas Mavericks’ star player. He’s their leading scorer and there’s a lot of pressure on the youngster to perform every night. On Friday night, the Lakers were in town and Doncic had to try to keep up with LeBron James. Obviously that’s an insane task, and after he missed a couple of free throws, he was evidently frustrated.
No matter how much you try to hold it together, Luka, you’re not going to hide that rip. With just over a minute left in the half, Doncic played with the torn jersey until the break. At that point, he had already missed five free throws, and the Lakers had opened up a 19 point lead.
We’re not sure that this jersey concept will catch on in the NBA, but the v-neck style jersey didn’t look absolutely terrible. Maybe the Mavericks can recreate Doncic’s torn jersey this time next year.
In the second half, Doncic got a fresh jersey, however LeBron James and the Lakers still ran away with this one.
