Louis Domingue was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning nearly one year ago and appears to have found a new home after signing a two-year, $2.3 million contract extension this past offseason.
With the Lightning currently on the road for a quick two-game trip with stops in Montreal and Ottawa, the team will return home Tuesday night to play the Edmonton Oilers, which will also be their annual Bolts Fight Cancer night. While they haven’t named a starting goalie for the night just yet, Domingue went ahead and had a special mask designed for the Bolts’ tilt with the Oilers and got some help from children at the Children’s Cancer Center in Tampa.
The 26-year-old included the names of the children on his mask in the special ‘I Fight For’ tags and had the young fans add their own personal touches to it.
It doesn’t get much better than that.
As for Domingue, he’s rocked some awesome masks over the course of his NHL career, including one that featured the ultimate tributes to Martin St. Louis and Vincent Lecavalier.
