The Winnipeg Jets handled the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday evening, cruising to a 6-3 victory in front of the home crowd. The only thing is, there were A LOT of away jerseys sprinkled into that home crowd.

The Leafs faithful โ€“ who likely travel better than any team in the NHL โ€“ showed up hoping to see the Leafs carry on their hot play of late. Earning 11 of a possible 12 points in their last 6 games, it didnโ€™t work out like that for the Buds against Winnipeg.

While the Leafs fans werenโ€™t happy with anything they were seeing on the ice Sunday evening, there was one moment in particular that triggered them the most.

Enter Logan Stanley.

In the final minute of play, Josh Morrissey and Wayne Simmonds were engaged in a scrum. Stanley โ€“ who is a towering 6โ€™6 โ€“ hopped to the defence of his teammate and went after Simmonds.

Some punches were thrown, but it wasnโ€™t really a full on scrap. Regardless, Stanley decided to use the moment to rile up the crowd; whether that be cheering Jets fans or booing Leafs fans.

The reaction quickly made its way to Twitter where fans gave their very divided opinions.

March 31st, these two teams meet again. Circle your calendars!
