The ripple effect of Kobe Bryant’s death continues to make its way across many different walks of life. Sports, culture, fashion, and music are just a few of the subjects that have memorialized Kobe in their own way, and the latest from the music world comes courtesy of Lil Wayne.

After Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant was among the nine people to lose their lives in a tragic helicopter crash on Sunday, Lil Wayne decided to add 24 seconds of silence to the 8th song of his new album Funeral.

The numbers 8 and 24 have been used to help memorialize Kobe ever since the tragedy. They were the two numbers Kobe wore as a member of the Lakers.

We don’t expect this to end anytime soon as we continue to feel the shockwaves from an incredibly sad story.
