Leo Komarov was a fan favourite player in Toronto and Leafs Nation might like him more than ever after his latest prediction.
The Toronto Maple Leafs became Stanley Cup favourites on Bodog after the addition of Tavares and Komarov seems to agree. In fact, he’s making it sound like it’s going to be a Warriors-esque cake walk. While were sure Boston, Tampa Bay, Washington, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Winnipeg and many other teams have something to say about that, he doesn’t think there should be any problems.
Komarov is no longer with the Leafs after following Lou Lamoriello to Toronto, but he obviously still has a lot of friends here.
On the other end of the offseason spectrum, fans are feeling a little differently about the direction of the New York Islanders. Since July 1, their team has added nearly $10 million in depth players. Mathew Barzal will have to continue to develop into an elite player in the league if the Islanders have any hope of playoff contention next season.
