The Los Angeles Lakers are playing without LeBron James against the Clippers tonight, as a groin strain will keep him out of action.

We suppose that means a bit of R&R for LeBron, although of course, he’ll still be on the bench to support his team in tonight’s game — so he took his R&R to the arena. As LeBron arrived at Staples Center, he did so with a glass of red wine in hand.

We can’t help but wonder if this is LeBron’s method of sending subliminals, as he often does, after the NBA issued an anti-tampering memo in response to his latest comments about Anthony Davis. There was some outcry among team executives after LeBron said that it would be “amazing” and “incredible” to play with Davis.

In a similar vein, LeBron had compliments for Kawhi Leonard today, and fans (perhaps jokingly?) responded en masse with tampering comments. We guess LeBron is just going to continue sipping that vino.
