The MLB is still trying to pick up the pieces after a sign-stealing scandal has ripped apart the league. The culprits, the Houston Astros, have been the centre of just about everyone’s hellfire as they try to move of from the issue. The sports world isn’t letting it go that easily.
From Mike Trout, to Cody Bellinger, to Aaron Judge, to Justin Turner, MLB stars across the league have been speaking their mind pretty openly. Alongside the Astros, commissioner Rob Manfred has also been taking heat for deciding not to strip the team of their 2017 World Series victory.
The opinions have also stretched to outside the baseball world, and most recently it was NBA superstar LeBron James getting in on the bashing.
While the punishment is very unlikely to change at this point, it looks to be a long way away from blowing over. It will be interesting to see how the Astros are treated this season, and how creative opposing fans get with the hate.
The roller-coaster has just begun.
