It’s a busy time for Kawhi Leonard and the Raptors right now, but make no mistake, folks are thinking about his free agency decision in the summer already. Even Raptors fans are offering it all, from free food for life to — no lie — a multi-million dollar penthouse in Toronto.
LeBron James is getting active too.
According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst during an appearance on Pardon the Interruption, LeBron is already reaching out to starry free agents such as Kawhi and Jimmy Butler to join him on the Lakers next season.
We’ve known that Kawhi has been interested in returning to his native Los Angeles for some time, although reports have suggested that he prefers the Clippers to the Lakers. At the same time, you know LeBron will go all-out to attract fellow superstars to the Lakers this summer.
It’s certainly something that Raps fans can worry about, but we won’t know how this ends until July. Until then... there’s still some more basketball to be played!
