It’s official, LeBron James is heading to Cali.
One of, if not the greatest player to ever take the court is joining one of the most historically legendary teams – the Los Angeles Lakers. While many expected that the King would be leaving Cleveland this offseason, it doesn’t mean that it was an easy decision. Ohio is home for LeBron, and he made sure everyone knew how much love he still had for his home state.
When he left Cleveland the first time, it was met with quite a bit of backlash. This is because he decided to air it as a half hour special on TV, called “The Decision”. When the verdict came down, Cavs fans were not pleased with the vanity-ridden way on announcing his departure.
This time around it feels a little different. He promised the Cavs a championship, and he gave it to them. He also brought Cleveland to the finals for four consecutive seasons, including basically carrying the whole team this past post-season.
Fans have to respect that.
