No one knew what to expect from the Los Angeles Lakers’ pregame tribute ceremony for Kobe Bryant and the 8 other victims from Sunday’s accident, but the team did a fantastic job honouring Kobe and the rest of the victims.
The renditions were powerful and the tribute video was incredible, but it was LeBron James’ speech to the crowd that got one of the biggest ovations during the pregame ceremony and it was perfectly said and from the heart.
LeBron had something written down, but after getting a feel for the room he decided to ditch the speech he had written down and went entirely from the heart, making for an incredible speech with a fantastic ending.
It might be an emotional night in Los Angeles, but the Lakers are doing everything in their power to celebrate Kobe’s legacy to the fullest.
