It has not been the season that LeBron James or Los Angeles Lakers fans were hoping for when the superstar took his business to California. After heading to the finals for eight consecutive years in the East, his first stint in the West sees him officially eliminated from playoffs.

To be fair, he’s still averaging 27.5 points, 8.1 assists, and 8.6 rebounds. That’s still a superstar stat line, but he’s definitely stacked up some lowlights and some questions of leadership and loyalty along the way.

More than anything, the basketball world just seems to be enjoying the adversity. You can bet a few of those LeBron-haters got a laugh in when James tossed up an air ball from the free throw line.

Realistically, LeBron has never been known for his free throw shooting. He has shot a career 74% from the stripe, which has dipped to 67% this season, so it’s certainly not what he’s known for. Even so, you wouldn’t expect that from the King. It’s actually not the first time that it’s happened though…

The GOAT debate certainly doesn’t get any easier for LeBron from this season, especially considering Michael Jordan one time hit a free throw with his eyes closed just to show he could.
