The GOAT conversation is popular in any sport but always seems to be most relevant in basketball.
At this point, many believe the debate comes down to two players: LeBron vs. MJ. Both have been viewed as the most dominant players of their respective eras and the argument between the two was thrusted into the spotlight once again last night in a promo for next week’s Sunday Night football matchup between the Patriots and Packers.
Jordan starred in a spot in which he discusses wanting to see two of the game's GOATS in Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers and it ironically could have been applied directly to him and LeBron. Afterward, LeBron took to Twitter to let MJ know that he would have been more than happy to take him one-on-one on the court if given the chance.
Okay, so at this point LeBron would take Jordan to school. One’s 33 and the other’s 55, plain and simple. But with both in their prime, this could have been one for the ages. A combined nine championships, nine Finals MVPs, 28 All-Star games and nine regular season MVPs. That would be one for the ages! Former NFL wide receiver Stephen Smith seems to think LeBron wouldn’t stand a chance, however.
This debate will never end.
