It was announced on Sunday morning that hockey great, Eddie Shack, had passed away at age 83.
Born and raised in Sudbury, Ont., Eddie Shack played nearly a decade of his 17 season career with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Nicknamed "The Entertainer," Shack was known for his exceptional mustache, enforcer style on the ice - accumulating 1,431 career penalty minutes, and larger-than-life personality - being a brash advertising spokesman for several brands, appearing in numerous commercials and Ads advertising products on TV and in print.
Shack won four Stanley Cups with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1962, 1963, scoring the winning goal in the 1963 final, 1964, and the franchise's last victory in '67.
