A lot of hockey fans and analysts didn’t put much faith in the Toronto Maple Leafs in their playoff pools after it became official that they’d go up against the Boston Bruins in the opening round, but the Leafs reminded everyone on Thursday night that they play the games for a reason as they stole a victory on the road to take a 1-0 series lead.
Although it’s just one win out of a possible four and just the first game of a possible seven, Leafs fans are feeling extremely optimistic in their club considering how they’ve performed in Boston over the years and they reacted accordingly on social media after the win.
Not every hockey fan living in Toronto enjoyed the win, though.
The Maple Leafs and the Bruins return to the ice Saturday night in Boston.
