Le’Veon Bell’s time with the Pittsburgh Steelers ended in extremely awkward fashion as he held out the entire season before signing a four-year deal with the New York Jets this offseason.

During the season many of Bell’s teammates shared their thoughts on the entire situation, with some seeing where he’s coming from while others asked him to come back to help them out during a crucial stretch of the season. One player who managed to step up in a major way without Bell in the lineup is running back James Conner, who ran for 973 yards and 12 touchdowns and totaled 497 receiving yards and one touchdown in 13 games.

While most fans tend to believe there’s tension and drama between two players competing for one job like starting running back or starting goalie, it turns out there wasn’t any bad blood between the two and there still isn’t.

On Monday afternoon Bell tweeted a screenshot of a text he had just received from Conner, who showed his former teammate nothing but love and appreciation for their time spent together.

It’s easy to see what sparked Conner to send Bell this text message as former Steelers teammates Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster have been making headlines with their recent exchange on Twitter, which has mostly been Brown taking shots at JuJu for no reason.

Everyone who said Le’Veon Bell was the problem in Pittsburgh is looking a little foolish right now.
