Two months ago, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif was hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy at the Super Bowl. Today, he’s working the front lines at a long-term care facility in Quebec.

Duvernay-Tardif is the first medical school graduate to play in the NFL and now he’s using his time to put his education to good use by helping those who need it the most and it landed him a spot on Sports Illustrated earlier this week.

The 29-year-old received a lot of love on social media for his decision, especial throughout Canada, and on Wednesday he used his platform to show love to the people who have been putting in the work since day one.
