The list of Last Chance U alumni in the NFL continues to grow.

The Netflix documentary, which has followed the junior college football programs at East Mississippi Community College and Independence Community College, focuses on players trying to find their way back to the NCAA. Some have done so, and season 1 quarterback John Franklin III even latched on with the Chicago Bears after going undrafted in 2018.

Following the 2019 NFL Draft, two more players have found NFL homes. Linebacker Dakota Allen became the first player featured in the documentary to get drafted into the NFL, after the Los Angeles Rams selected him in the seventh round.

Also, fan favourite Ronald Ollie will attend a rookie minicamp with the Oakland Raiders on a tryout basis, after a contract offer from the Baltimore Ravens was pulled. Ollie joins the Raiders after playing with NCAA D-II Nicholls State.

It remains to be seen if either player can crack the roster bubble and become Last Chance U’s first impact player in the NFL, but no doubt, they’ll have plenty of people in their corner after seeing their journey from East Mississippi.
