Phones going off at inopportune times is part of life. Whether you’re at a movie or sitting in an important meeting, there’s always one person that has their phone get called. Well after the Arizona Cardinals upset the Seattle Seahawks 27-13, in Larry Fitzgerald’s post-game press conference, it was no different.
Larry Fitzgerald has always been a consummate professional on the field, so it’s reasonable for him to expect the same in a post-game scrum. The awkward part of of the whole exchange, was the fact that the interviewer who’s phone went off was his father.
It’s a fairly awkward moment as you expect Larry to crack a smile at some point. He never does… He just stares down Mr. Fitzgerald as if the roles were reversed, and he was the disappointed father scolding his son.
For all you interviewers going into the next Larry Fitzgerald scrum, keep those phones on silent. Even his father isn’t save from his wrath.
