The Italian Grand Prix took place on Sunday afternoon and the race had just about everything.
At the end of the race the podium featured three young faces as 24-year-old Pierre Gasly, 26-year-old Carlos Sainz and 21-year-old Lance Stroll took the top three spots in the race.
Thanks to a 10-second stop-go penalty issued to Lewis Hamilton earlier in the race, Gasly managed to capture P1 to give AlphaTauri their first major win since 2008.
For the young Canadian Stroll, it was his first podium finish since 2017 and he was also pretty stoked about his P3 finish despite falling out of P2.
F1 fans loved the show that the young guns put on and Canadian fans celebrated Stroll’s first podium finish since 2017.
It’s been a long time since the podium didn’t include a Mercedes, Red Bull, or Ferrari driver, and F1 fans appreciated every second of it.
