Over the past few months, parts of Australia have been devastated by a historic number of wildfires. The fires are already responsible for the destruction of homes and have caused a reported 19 deaths so far.
Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has already poured out support by pledging $200 for every ace he gets.
Alongside Kyrgios, several other Australian athletes have announced their support of the tragedy. Now LaMelo Ball has joined in on the relief efforts by pledging one month of his NBL salary to wildfire relief.
LaMelo Ball signed a two-year contract with the Illawarra Hawks of Australia’s National Basketball League following high school. He’s been a pleasure to watch as he’s averaged over 17 points per game.
Despite putting on a show in the NBL, there’s nothing that fans appreciate more than helping out a community in need.
