It’s hard to stop talking about Lamar Jackson right now. He had yet another stellar game against the Los Angeles Rams, throwing for five touchdowns against the Jalen Ramsey-led secondary and running for 95 yards on eight carries to boot. These days, he’s must-watch television.

This week’s Madden 20 roster update reflects Jackson’s dominance, specifically in the run game. Jackson is getting the highest speed rating for a quarterback ever, getting the bump to a 96 and eclipsing the previous record held by Michael Vick’s 95 speed rating in Madden 2004.

Vick announced the news himself, congratulating Jackson on his accomplishment.

Anyone who played those old Madden games will remember just how dominant video-game Vick was back in the day. Jackson has certainly earned his new ratings, though. Vick holds the record for single-season quarterback rushing yards, with 1,039 in 2006, but Jackson is well on pace to beat that record with 876 yards through Week 12.

He’s all that much scarier when you remember that on top of the ground game, Jackson has also gone without an interception in his last six games, throwing 13 touchdowns in that span.

We’re not sure if there’s anything this guy can’t do, but we’re definitely tuning in weekly to find out. Jackson might not be interested in his own statistical records or season awards, but we definitely are.
