Los Angeles' City council has voted unanimously to urge the MLB commissioner to revoke the Boston Red Sox and the Houston Astros of their 2017 and 2018 World Series titles.
The Dodgers and their fans can't help but feel cheated out of multiple World Series titles, being the runner up both years, as recent allegations and admissions would suggest that the teams did not compete fairly.
So far, the Astros were fined $5 million and stripped of their first, and second-round draft pick for the next two seasons. MLB is continuing to look into the Boston Red Rox following similar misconduct accusations.
Council members have offered their opinion for further punishment suggesting the title be rewarded to the Dodgers. The Dodgers have not come forward to say they would want to take the title themselves, however, the Los Angeles City Council is going to bat for their team.
Dodgers fans have spoken up and it doesn't seem that they want the title - just for the teams involved, and guilty, to be stripped of theirs.
