The Toronto Raptors acquired Kyle Lowry from the Houston Rockets ahead of the 2012-13 season and it’s safe to say Toronto has become the point guard’s home away from home.

During the holidays, the three-time NBA All-Star takes time out of his schedule to deliver gifts and meals to families within the community. Since Canada and USA celebrate Thanksgiving at different times, Lowry is able to provide families in both Toronto and Philadelphia with Thanksgiving turkey dinners.

On Saturday afternoon, Lowry was at the John Innes Community Recreation Centre in Toronto where he provided families with turkeys and other food items so they can celebrate Thanksgiving.

That wasn’t Lowry’s only stop during the day. After handing out turkeys to hundreds of families at the John Innes Community Recreation Centre, the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native headed over to the MLSE Launchpad and handed out more Thanksgiving dinners.

The city of Toronto has appreciated Lowry since day one and this is just one of his many ways of saying thank you to the city that welcomed him with open arms.
