For a large part of the Toronto Raptors fan base, Kyle Lowry is the greatest Raptor of all-time. Some may consider DeMar DeRozan, while others will simply base their opinion off skill and land on Kawhi Leonard, or flash and land on Vince Carter.

For us, we’re going with Lowry.

Since coming over from the Houston Rockets, Lowry has enjoyed 9 season helping to define the Raptors identity in a way it never had before. It all culminated in a Championship back in 2019, solidifying Lowry’s place in Raptors lore.

On Thursday, Lowry added another notch to his Raptors belt when he recorded his 4,000th assist with the team. He is now just the 3rd NBAer to have recorded the milestone with their current NBA team.

Curry and Lillard have certainly made a name for themselves as playmakers, but they’ve done so with less assists per game than Lowry has had with the Raps. That’s not a knock on Steph and Dame,  it’s a testament to Lowry’s ability as a passer.

Lowry recorded another double-double on Thursday. What else is new?
