The Raptors were just having one of those days. Coming into their Sunday matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Raptors were chasing a franchise-record 12th straight win. It didn’t happen.
OKC ended up taking the game 132-125 in what was one of the more heated games of the year. Kyle Lowry fouled out, and three other Raptors – DeMar DeRozan, Serge Ibaka, and coach Dwane Casey – were ejected from the game. That is sometimes the result of a chippy game, but one of those ejections wasn’t exactly deserved.
Casey was ejected for what appeared to be a case of mistaken profanity. A fan yelled something in the direction of the ref, and as a result Casey was ejected. Instead of flipping out and screaming his response back to the ref, Casey, along with Kyle Lowry, just simply shared a laugh about it. There were only a few seconds left in the game anyway.
Well, at least they’re trying to have some fun with it. It was pretty clear that they weren’t very happy with the officiating of the game in general.
They weren’t the only ones either (NSFW):
