So if you don’t know Kyle Korver’s copy machine story, it’s pretty simple. Back when he was drafted (by the Nets), he was pretty much immediately traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. It wasn’t one of those “Sell the farm” trades for the Sixers, they simply gave up some cash.

Fair enough, it’s not the first time that’s happened. The $125,000 the Nets got was to cover their Summer League fee, but they had some leftover money that they purchased a copy machine with.

Fast forward 16 years and Korver has gotten the last laugh. Since his 51st overall draft spot was called, Korver became a very dangerous sharpshooter. Meanwhile, the copy machine?

SWEET REDEMPTION.

Realistically, Korver already had the last laugh long ago. The Nets clearly didn’t believe he was going to be a player that stuck around the league very long, let alone become a household name in the basketball world.

Or who knows, maybe they just REALLY need a copy machine.
