Richard Petty. Dale Earnhardt Sr. Jeff Gordon. These are just some of the names you’d expect a professional driver to list when talking about the people who influenced them to get into the sport, but one of the biggest influencers wasn’t even a professional driver, he’s a cartoon character.

Kids have been playing some sort of Mario Kart video game for nearly 30 years now and it’s safe to say that a lot of people find a love for driving and racing through the Nintendo video game series. One person who definitely spent hours playing the game when he was younger is Kyle Busch, who recently put together a Mario Kart-style race track in his own backyard.

The fact that there are ways to live out childhood dreams with real life versions of Mario Kart in different parts of the world is pretty awesome, but to have your own personal track in your own backyard is the icing on the cake.

Happy early Halloween from the Dallas Stars. #classic #lineys #fam
