Things got a little heated between the Chicago Cubs and the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night.
During the top of the fourth inning, Marlins second baseman Derek Dietrich collided with Cubs catcher Victor Caratini at home plate and as a result both benches ended up leaving their dugout. However, with a former member of the Cubs in the middle of it all, Kris Bryant exposed his former teammate’s weakness as a way to calm everyone down.
Just as things started to heat up the Cubs’ third baseman stepped in and relieved the tension by tickling Starlin Castro, one of Bryant’s best friends from his rookie season in 2015.
It was definitely an interesting approach by Bryant but it ended up working, so all that matters is that he got the job done.
