One of the biggest wrestling events of the year, WWE SummerSlam, took Toronto this weekend, and you know that Kofi Kingston was bringing the gear to match.
A self-declared sneakerhead, Kingston actually wrestles in some of the most popular sneakers on the market, and he even busted out a pair of custom Kyrie 5s designed by Mache Customs for SummerSlam.
These adopt the style of the Raptors’ purple pinstripe jerseys from the 90s, with a shout out to Kingston’s New Day stable with Big E and Xavier Woods, and yes, he wore these in his successful title defense against Randy Orton on Sunday.
This guy knows how to match his kicks with his gear. Always a colourful dresser in the ring, Kingston’s entire ensemble for SummerSlam was themed after the defending NBA champions.
