We think that the New York Rangers’ Lady Liberty throwbacks are one of the best Reverse Retros in circulation this season, and it seems like at least one of the New York Knicks agrees.
Immanuel Quickley, one of the standout rookies in the NBA so far this season, was snapped wearing an Alexis Lafrenière Reverse Retro jersey, and we have to say it looks just as spectacular as a game-day arrival fit as it does on the ice. Lafrenière and the Rangers debuted their Reverse Retros earlier this week.
That’s a New York rook to New York rook connection right there. Quickley, drafted with a late first-round pick by the Knicks, has been a surprising early Rookie of the Year contender. Maybe he can transfer some of the good luck to Lafrenière, who has started off in a bit of a slump with just a single goal and no assists in his first ten games.
Mind you, Quickley repping Lafrenière is throwing us back to RJ Barrett welcoming his fellow New York draftee Kaapo Kakko last year. There’s just a lot of love between Knicks and Rangers rookies, it seems!
