It’s been a big day for basketball fans North of the border.
The city hosted its first NBA Finals media day on Wednesday and it featured its share of Canadian moments. There was a pretty crazy maple syrup chug, but first we’re going to address a little sound clip that took place when the action started to cool off. After fielding questions on the podium, the 29-year-old joined Rachel Michele Nichols on The Jump and explained in detail the ‘polite heckling’ he’s been receiving from Canadians so far.
Apparently he appreciates Toronto native Drake’s tunes as well. Just ask our very own Corwin McCallum!
Back to that maple syrup shot… It was really more a chug than anything else. Is Norman Powell officially a Canadian citizen after doing this?
